Chrysanthemum

History and Origin:

Chrysanthemum is a genus within the Asteraceae family, native to Asia and north east Europe. The word Chrysanthemum derives from the Ancient Greek word ‘anthemon’, meaning flower. They were first cultivated as a flowering herb during the 15th century in China.

About:

Chrysanthemums are perennial plants with showy daisy-like flowers that perform during later summer and early autumn. Chrysanthemum will make a fantastic focal point in pots and containers or within hanging baskets.
