Aubrieta are a genus of flowering plants within the Brassicaceae (cabbage) family, native to southern Europe and central Asia. The genus name was given in honour of Claude Aubriet, a French flower painter.
Aubrieta are evergreen perennial plants with often variegated foliage and spectacular four-petalled flowers displayed during the spring.
