Arisaema

History and Origin:

Arisaema is a large genus of flowering plants within the Araceae family. They are mainly native to China and Japan as well as other parts of Asia, Africa, Mexico and North America. Arisaema are more commonly known as jack-in-the-pulpit or cobra lilies due to the unusual shape of their flowers.

About:

Arisaema are tuberous perennials with distinctive, unusual flowers with hooded spathes that bloom in spring/summer. These are then followed by a spike of red berries. Arisaema are well suited to a tropical style garden in flower beds and borders.
