Anchusa is a genus of approximately 40 species within the Boraginaceae family, native to Europe, Northern Africa and Western Asia.
Anchusa are perennials, annuals or biennials that showcase graceful spires of large ‘forget me not’ like flowers that colour change with maturity as the season progresses. They are best suited to mixed borders and beds within a cottage and informal garden.
